Cestus III Falls to the Insadran Illparanrek

The Second Empire has captured its first planet without incident. Gul Macet, most famous for his kidnapping of Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise has allowed his base of operations to join the Second Empire.

Gul Macet will now take over Fleet Operations from Legate Lunar and the Second Empire will refer to Cestus III as "New Cardassia"

The United Federation of Planets does not recognize the independence of Cestus III or the authority of the military government of Gul Macet or the Second Empire's right to govern.

Evacuation of the Cestus System begins almost immediately. Almost 20000 Cardassian and Star Fleet Personnel are evacuated from the Cestus System. The Second Empire's hold on the Cardassian Union continues to grow.

The Cardassian Union is changing but no one knows into what?? Elim Garak's Provisional Democratic Government or a dangerous, expansionist rebuilding empire.
