Mission II Begins - Who Shot Tim Veltkamp?

It is my sad duty to inform the Omega Fleet Staff that our illustrious leader and mentor,
Admiral Tim Veltkamp was shot with a phaser blast in the right shoulder. Admiral
Veltkamp's condition is listed as stable and he is in protective custody at the Leonard
McCoy Teaching Hospital on the Omega Colony.

An extensive investigation has begun into the shooting and the associated attack on
the Fleet Headquarters at Sigma Station Alpha which were destroyed on December 31,
2385 by an unknown attacker.

Any insight that can be offered by members of the Fleet Staff should be forwarded to
the chief investigator on the case, Sgt. Robert E. Leo of Omega Emergency Services.

The Omega Colony Leadership are pleased to announce the arrest of United Federation
of Purists Student Radical Tacita Teero for the attempted murder of Admiral Tim
Veltkamp in Omega Prime.

Citing Veltkamp's involvement with the Cardassians, including Task Force 12 Flag
Ship, the USS / CGV Tanmesad and Dal Vash Enranet as a primary reason for the
attack, the United Federation of Purists continues to vow to bring down the cultural
mosaic that is the Omega Colony.

Teero also blamed Veltkamp for the imprisonment of her sister, Tiara, another UFP
radical who killed 3 Cardassian refugees on the Omega Colony.

Teero is also linked to the Romulan traitor killed by Vice Admiral Nicole Branson,
Commander T'Liama of Romulus, a known member of the Tal Shiar.

The Omega News Network is reporting that Admiral Veltkamp continues to support
the current Colony Leadership.
